butsingaporeamustnotleavethetaskofhelpingtheweakentirelytothegovernment.ifwearetobuildacohesivesociety,individualsmustformlastingtieswiththeirlargercommunity.tofeelpaionatelyaboutsingaporeistocareaboutmorethanjustthosethingsthatdirectlyaffectourfamilies,ourfriends,andourselves.itistobestronglycommittedtothewellbeingofourfellowsingaporea,andtoshowcompaiontothosewhoareweakerthanourselves.
