Goodmorning.Thisweekend,IaminRuiameetingwithotherworldleadersattheG8summit.Thisaualsummitgivesusachancetotalkaboutkeyiuesfacingallournatio,suchasenergysecurityandthethreatofinfectiousdiseaseslikeavianflu.

Atthisyear’ssummit,wewillalsodiscuhowtopromotethereadoffreedomanddemocracy,andhowourcountriescanworktogethertoexpandtradeandproerityforallourcitize.

Astheworld’seconomicpowersgatherfortheG8,theAmericaneconomyremaitheenvyoftheworld.Andthisweekwereceivedevenmorepositivenewsaboutoureconomy.OnTuesday,myadministration’sOfficeofManagementandBudgetreleaseditsaualupdateonthebudgetoutlook.Thisyear’sreportisveryencouraging:Becauseoureconomycontinuestoenjoystronggrowth,federaltaxrevenuesaregrowing,andwearecuttingthefederaldeficitfasterthanexpected.

Thisgoodnewsisnoaccident.ItistheresultofthehardworkoftheAmericanpeople,andpro-growtheconomicpoliciesinWashington,D.C.Since20xx,wehavecuttaxesforeveryonewhopaysincometaxes,reducedthemarriagepenalty,doubledthechildtaxcredit,andputthedeathtaxontheroadtoextinction.Wecuttaxratespaidbymostsmallbusineesandfurtherencouragedexpaionby版权所有cuttingtaxesondividendsandcapitalgai.

SomeinWashingtonthinkthechoiceisbetweencuttingtaxesandcuttingthedeficit.Thisweek’snumbersshowthatthisisafalsechoice.Theeconomicgrowthfueledbytaxreliefhashelpedsendtaxrevenuessoaring.Whentheeconomygrows,busineesgrowwithit,peopleearnmoremoney,andtheypaytaxesonthisnewincome.

In20xx,taxrevenuespostedthelargestincreasein24years,andthey’reprojectedtoriseagainthisyear.Theincreaseintaxrevenuesismuchbetterthanwehadprojected,anditishelpinguscutthebudgetdeficit.
