Goodmorning.AsfamiliesacrothenationgathertocelebrateChristmas,LauraandIwanttoextendourbestwishesfortheholidays.

WehopethatthisChristmaswillbeatimeofhaineinyourhome,andatimeofpeaceintheworld.Inthisseason,wecelebratewithourfamiliesanddeeplymiloveoneswhoarenolongerwithus.ThousandsoffamiliesinournationarestillgrievingovertheterribleloesthatcametothemlastyearonSeptemberthe11th.Wehavenotforgottentheirloandwecontinuetoprayfortheircomfort.范文先生版权所有

TheChristmasseasonbringsadeeperconcernforfellowcitizeinneed.Ourcountryisproerous,yetwemustalsoremembertherearepocketsofdeairinAmerica.Somemenandwomenarefacingthestrugglesofillneandoldagewithnoonetohelpthemorpraywiththem.OtherAmericafightagaitterribleaddictio.Someyoungmenhavenofamilybutagang.Someteenagemomsareabandonedandalone.Andsomechildrenwonderifanybodylovesthem.

Weallshareareoibilitytohelp,boththroughourgovernmentandthroughindividualactsofcompaion.Inthisseasonofgiving,IhopeallAmericawilllookforoortunitiestodonateandvolunteerwheretheneedisgreatest.Byreachingouttoaneighborinneed,wemakeourcountryamorejustandgenerousplace.

Ourentirenationisalsothinkingatthistimeofyearofthemenandwomeninthemilitary,manyofwhomwillendChristmasatpostsandbasesfarfromhome.TheystandbetweenAmericaandgravedanger.Theyserveinthecauseofpeaceandfreedom.Theyweartheuniformproudly,andwearesoproudofthem.

IhavemetwiththeseidealisticyoungmenandwomenacroAmericaandaroundtheworld.Iknowthesacrificestheymake.Andineveryplacetheyserve,theycanknowthattheyhavetheloveoftheirfamiliesandthegratitudeoftheirnation.

Atthistimeofyear,weareciateallthebleingsthatfillourlives,eeciallythegreatbleingthatcameonaholynightinBethlehem.TheChristmasstoryeakstoeverygeneration.Itisthestoryofaquietbirthinalittletownonthemargiofanindifferentempire.Yetthatsingleeventsetthedirectionofhistoryandstillchangesmilliooflives.
