ca, but is also the largest gold-producing center in the world. the city boasts economic prosperity and good traffic network. the potential for the cooperation between guangzhou and johannesburg is extensive and both sides have a great many advantages for cooperation. one phenomenon which is worthy of special mention is that there are lots of friends from africa doing business in guangzhou. when our african friends wish to seek for business opportunities in china, most of them will set guangzhou as the no.1 priority. under the background of favorable foreign relations between china and south africa, we must strengthen our intercourse of economy and trade. it is expected that, with our joint efforts, the economic and trade cooperation between both sides will scale new heights.

　　一是双方互利共赢，具有良好的合作基础。中国和南非虽然相隔千山万水，但是自从1998年建交以来，双方在政治、经济、文化等领域的合作呈现出飞速发展的势头，特别是最近南非加入了“金砖”国家行列，中南两国将在国际舞台上发挥重要作用，相互帮助，互利合作，共赢发展，奠定了双方开展全面合作的坚实基础。
