ThatthesaidAddrebepresentedtoHerMajestybysuchMembersoftheHouseasareofHerMajesty’smostHonourablePrivyCouncilorofHerMajesty’sHousehold.

Thisweekwecelebratethe80thbirthdayofoneofthemostreectedpeopleofourtimes,whoseseeofdutyandservicehashadaprofoundimpactonourcountry,theCommonwealthandtheworld.

Yearsbeforetheprematuredeathofherfatherandherunexpectedsucceiontothethrone,thethenPrinceElizabethpubliclydedicatedherlifetotheserviceofhernation,butdeclaredthatshewouldneedthesuortofthecountrytoeurethatshecouldfulfilthatpromise.Shehas,asweknow,版权所有carriedoutthispledgethroughallthechanges,bothinherlifeandinthiscountry,withextraordinarygraceanddedication,andherpeople,hereandacrotheCommonwealth,whoshareinthecelebrationofher80thbirthdaythisyear,havereonded,asshehopedthattheywould,withtheiraffectionandsuort.

Shehasalsoreondedtoaworldthathasbecomemoreinterdependentthaneverbytravellingexteively.Inall,theQueenhasundertakenover256officialoverseasvisitsto129differentcountries.HerMajestyshowsnosignofslowingdown.Shehasjustundertakenher14thtourofAustralia,includingtheofficialopeningoftheCommonwealthgamesinMelbourne.Sheattendshundredsofpublicengagementseveryyearandisanactivepatronofover620charitiesandorganisatio.Thereissimplynoaectofourn
