Goodmorning.Thiswasagoodweekforthecauseoffreedom.OnWednesdaynightinIraq,U.S.militaryforceskilledtheterroristZarqawi.

ThekillingofZarqawiisanimportantvictoryintheglobalwaronterror.ThisJordanian-bornterroristwastheoperationalcommanderofalQaidainIraq.Heledacampaignofcarbombings,andkidnaings,andsuicideattacksthathastakenthelivesofmanyAmericanforces,internationalaidworkers,andthousandsofiocentIraqis.Zarqawihadalonghistoryofmurderandbloodshed.BeforeSeptemberthe11th,20xx,heranacampinAfghanistanthattrainedterrorists--untilCoalitionforcesdestroyedthatcamp.HefledtoIraq,wherehereceivedmedicalcareandsetupoperatiowithterroristaociates.

AfterthefallofSadd版权所有am,ZarqawiwentundergroundanddeclaredhisallegiancetoOsamabinLaden,whocalledhimthe"PrinceofalQaidainIraq"anditructedterroristsaroundtheworldto"listentohimandobeyhim."ZarqawipersonallybeheadedAmericanhostagesandotherciviliainIraq;hemastermindedthedestructionoftheUnitedNatioheadquartersinBaghdad;andhewasreoiblefortheaainationofanAmericandiplomatinJordanandthebombingofhotelsinAmman.HisgoalsinIraqwereclear:Hewantedtostoptheriseofdemocracy,drivecoalitionforcesout,inciteacivilwar,andturnthatcountryintoasafehavenfromwhichalQaidacouldlaunchnewattacksonAmericaandotherfreenatio.Itead,ZarqawidiedinthefreeanddemocraticIraqthathefoughtsohardtoprevent,andtheworldisbetteroffbecausethisviolentmanwillneverkillagain.

Iraqiscanbejustlyproudoftheirnewgovernmentanditsearlystetoimprovetheirsecurity.AndAmericacanbeenormouslyproudofthemenandwomenofourArmedForces,andtheintelligenceofficerswhosuortthem.Inthepastthreeyears,ourtroohaveoverthrownacrueldictator,foughttheterroristsandiurgentshousetohouse,andtrainedIraqiforcestodefendtheirnewdemocracy.Allthewhile,theystayedonthetrailofthisbrutalterrorist,perseveringthroughyearsofnearmiesandfalseleadsandnevergivinguphope.Thisweektheygottheirman.AndallAmericaaregratefulf
