wehavegoodnewsaboutournationaleconomy,aswell.onfriday,welearnedthattheamericaneconomycreated121,000newjoinjune,andithascreatedover5.4millionjosinceaugust2003.wenowhaveaddedjofor34straightmonths,andtheunemploymentrateis4.6percent.

inthefirstquarterof2006,oureconomygrewatanimpreiveaualrateof5.6percent.thisfollowsoureconomicgrowthof3.5percentin2005,thefastestrateofanymajorindustrializednation.andbecausetaxesarelow,ourworkersarekeepingmoreofthemoneytheyearn.

oureconomicexpaionisliftingthelivesofmillioofamerica,andtokeepthisexpaiongoing,wemustmaintainthepro-growth,low-taxpoliciesthathelpedtolaunchitinthefirstplace.thetaxreliefwedeliveredhashelpedunleashtheentrepreneurialiritofamericaandkeptoureconomytheenvyoftheworld.soiwillcontinuetoworkwithcongretomakethattaxreliefpermanent.
