- state relations, work to seek convergence of common interests, expand mutually-beneficial cooperation and strive for common development. 不能用一种政治制度和发展模式去规范世界． It is not right to model the world after one political system or development mode. 各个国家都应遵循世界是丰富多彩的原则，采取相互学习、取长补短的积极态度，以利共同发展． All countries should honor the principle that the world is colorful and diversified, and adopt a positive attitude of learning from each other to make up for their respective deficiencies in the interest of common development.   开展国际经济交往，应该坚持平等互利． It is essential to adhere to the principle of equality and mutual benefit in conducting international economic exchanges. 制定国际经济贸易领域的新规则，应该充分反映经济技术还不发达、处于弱势地位的广大发展中国 家的合理要求，注意保障它们的正当权益． In formulating new rules guiding international economic activities and trade, the reasonable demands of the vast number of developing countries should be fully reflected, as they are under-developed in terms of the economy and technology and at a disadvantage, and attention should be paid to the protection of their legitimate rights and interests. 第二次大战以后许多殖民地国家的人民获得了解放和独立， Following World War II, the people of many countries under colonial rule were emancipated and won independence. 这是人类社会在 20 世纪取得的最伟大的进步． That was the greatest progress made by human society in the 20th century. 这些国家经济基础薄弱，处在发展的过程之中． These countries still have a weak economic foundation and are in the process of development. 离开甚至损害发展中国家的利益，整个世界就不可能稳定，更不可能普遍繁荣， Should their interests be ignored or even harmed, the world would not enjoy stability, not to say universal prosperity. 就会带来诸多困难、风险和不公正不合理的现象，最终发达国家也会受到损害． And there would emerge a multitude of problems, risks, inequalities and irrationalities, which would ultimately jeopardize the interest of developed countries. 我们希望各国的政治家都能关注逐步解决南北经济差距不断拉大这一十分紧迫的问题． It is our hope that the statesmen of all countries will
